Getting a puppy

We have the following rules regarding our placing a puppy into their permanent home:

  1. All of our companion puppies are sold on an AKC limited registration.
  2. All of our companion puppies are expected to be spayed/neutered after eighteen (18) months and before they are two (2) years of age. We ask that you wait until that time as current research shows that early spay/neuter may result in future health problems. Puppies are not allowed to sire or whelp a litter, even though the litter will not be able to be registered.
  3. We expect your new companion to be an inside house dog.
  4. Owners are expected to hand walk dogs using a collar and leash. Dogs can be left within a fenced in area for supervised exercise.
  5. We expect that the puppies receive their remaining booster shots according to their assigned schedule before being taken out to public locations. This simple practice, allows the puppy’s immune system to further strengthen and reduces the risk of developing serious conditions such as Parvo. We expect that you will continue to receive vaccinations throughout their lifetime according to vet recommended schedules.
  6. Puppies purchased from us may not be resold or re-homed without prior approval from us.
  7. Our puppies are always welcomed back! We know that unplanned family and health emergencies can arise. If such a situation occurs, we want to have the dog returned to us rather than be placed in a shelter.
  8. We would love for you to come visit us and the puppies. Please call to schedule your visit.

We may occasionally have older dogs for rehoming. Contact us for availability.
